Today match is going to be like Barcelona vs Real Madrid as Uruguay stepped up training on Friday ahead of their World Cup last 16 match and the South Americans will face their toughest task so far against Portugal but Cristiano Ronaldo is the key threat Uruguay will look to nullify today Saturday.

Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani looked razor sharp in training as Uruguay fine-tuned their preparations ahead of the World Cup last 16.

A flawless Group A campaign saw Uruguay come through unscathed but Portugal, who finished runners-up in Group B, will be their toughest test so far when the teams meet in Sochi on Saturday.

But while Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo will look to get one over La Liga rival Suarez, the forward showed he had a spring in his step during sprinting drills on Friday.

Uruguay navigated arguably the easiest group in the entire draw as they earned wins over Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the hosts Russia.

And luck was on their side as a late goal from Iago Aspas ensured they avoided Spain as the 2010 winners dramatically won Group B.

Uruguay are seen as a potential dark horse for the tournament and their credentials will be scrutinised against a Portugal side looking to build on their success at Euro 2016.

Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has failed to be tested convincingly thus far but has not come up against a forward as dangerous as Ronaldo.

The game will see plenty of intriguing battles as Atletico Madrid's Diego Godin will be tasked with keeping Real Madrid's Ronaldo quiet.

Both sides feature in the tougher side of the draw with a win setting up a quarter-final in Nizhy Novgorod against either France or Argentina.
